5 out of 5 stars Love it!

This is a well made pan that can be used on all cooking surfaces, including my induction cooktop. It is now one of my favorite pans to cook with!

1 out of 5 stars Looks pretty but does not work on my induction stovetop

Just replaced my coil stovetop with a new Electrolux induction stove top and needed a new set of pans. Circulon Symmetry cookware seemed to have the features I was looking for: induction compatible stainless steel base, non-stick, insulated handles, good quality. I bought this piece first, and was planning on getting the 11-piece set in a few months. That is not going to happen after I tried to use this 5 1/2 quart casserole to boil 3 quarts of water. Set the stopwatch, turned the stovetop to maximum power and was excited to see small bubbles form at the base of the pan within a few seconds. But that's as far as it got. A full 10 minutes later the water was still not boiling, and I was able to put my finger in it, without getting burned.Did the same test with a battered enameled steel pot that doesn't even sit flat, and the water boiled in four minutes flat.I had read in another, 2-star review that someone with an induction stovetop was unable to get water to boil in the Circulon Symmetry stockpot, but I had dismissed that review. All the other reviews were just so positive. I now realize that 2-star review was correct in it's findings, but I think it's rating was too high: an unusable pot deserves just one star in my opinion. This one is going back to the store.
