Good size, not as durable as expected...

I have a few Emile Henry stoneware products and enjoy using all of them. This baker although small has a good depth and a stylishly flared rim which doubles as handles for removing the baker safely from the oven. I also love the fact that the glaze is lead and cadmium free making it food safe. The drawback is that it scratches easily. It can go from freezer to oven without shattering. The color is very beautiful, deep purple with reddish undertones. I wouldn't recommend it though because of how easily it scratches.

I bought this dish because I moved into a house with a small side oven that none of my pans fit into. This dish is the perfect size and I make cobblers in it regularly. Beautifully glazed and sturdy pottery. Glad to have it displayed in my kitchen.
