This baking dish is absolutely perfect. My favorite feature is the lack of handles. I have a Breville countertop convection oven (the large toaster oven) and because the HIC pan does not have handles, it fits perfectly inside. Now in the summer when the outdoor heat gets unbearable, I can cook in my toaster oven, instead of heating the whole kitchen w/ my large oven. And because the HIC pan is 13 x 11 with deep sides, I can bake pretty much any casserole. Add to that the fact that Cooks Illustrated rates these pans very highly because they are broiler proof as well as being good for baking. (Pyrex will crack if you put it under the broiler) This baking pan is really the only one that I need. It does it all.

I bought this because another reviewer complained as the description uses external dimensions vice the 11" x 7.75" internal base dimension. The sides flare out slightly and the 0.25" thick material creates the advertised dimensions. Two cons: The bottom underside is not glazed. My wife supposed this would be an anti-slip benefit. Since my glass casseroles do not have rough undersides, I dispute the merits of such a conclusion. Porcelain is more delicate than glass or corning white glass and requires attention when transporting and stowing.Since this is the first pan I have found with proper sizing for my brand of lasagna, I am exceedingly happy to stop filling in the empty one-inch space on each end of my former lasagna pans. When pasta companies make 100% durum semolina lasagna noodles 13" long I may reintroduce my old lasagna pans into service. Since the noodles I buy are 11" long, this scratches one of my itches.Good luck finding another lasagna pan whose base is 11" x 8".

This dish turned out to be a mere 7-3/4" x 11" which made it totally unsuitable for the recipe for which I bought it. (No way that 16 manicotti shells were going to fit in there.) At this price, it's an OK product if you have need of a dish of this small size and it does have the advantage of being able to go under the broiler. Surprisingly few ceramic dishes are able to accomplish that feat. If, however, you absolutely, positively need 9" x 13", steer clear.
