A few weeks ago, I put my Pyrex bowl with my lunch into a microwave to heat it up. As I was eating, I bit into something hard and thought it was a bone. It turned out to be a glass shard, and I googled pyrex+cracking+microwave and discovered the newer version is cheaper and can break in the microwave! Consumer beware! We never had a problem with the old Corning Pyrex, but this is not the same!

This bowl was smaller than what I expected, but it was a medium size bowl that I could still use. Will order the bigger size next time! The lid is a plus - good for storing food in the fridge.

I have several of the Pyrex Storage containers and I think they're great for storage and reheating. I am trying to move away from plastic containers (especially cheap ones) and this is a perfect alternative. Also, they are made in the USA, which to me is very important for several reasons.
