Simax 1.5 Quart deep round casserole dishes transfer an even and intense heat. The depth of the deep dish casserole allows for delicious smaller roasts, fish, or stews. Once browning is done, the deep dish casserole has a tight lid to help distribute the heat evenly around the food. The handles are ergonomically designed and the lids are slightly curved to drain condensation to enhance the view of the food. Last night the wife remarked we've had our Simax 6666 for ten to 20 years, and it's still going strong. The glass is thick and strong, the piece well designed: its side handles and down-curved top mean it fits between even our closest refrigerator shelves. Ours is scratched only a bit on the inside bottom by knives and frosted in a patch on one side, probably by scouring too vigorously. I'm looking for a larger one, for our anniversary. Had to look hard to find the name: where is Simax made?
